Why I Love Christchurch 
Christchurch City Council has produced a calendar featuring dramatic photographs of scenes and events in Christchurch, taken by its staff members. The montage pictured at right is on the January page. The 2001 calendar is being launched this week and distributed to Council offices, service centres, libraries, leisure centres, the Robert McDougall Art Gallery and Christchurch and Canterbury Marketing (now in the old Post Office building in Cathedral Square) for sale. Proceeds will go to the Mayor's Welfare Fund. "People who love Christchurch will love this calendar," says John van Soest, calendar team leader. "It is a high quality product that shows the city at its best." |
