Fire and lots of it in this year’s sensational concert. Flame, fire poi, fire effects, fireworks, cannons … and, of course, our very own orchestra at full strength with the most vibrant music programme! Opening with the magnificent Gareth Farr piece, “From the Depths Sound the Great Sea Gongs”, through the "Hungarian Dance", "Slavonic Dances" to thrilling Gypsy Baron pieces featuring the New Zealand Army Band and the splendid vocal dynamics of Anne Lamont-Low.
