SummerTimes - What's your perfect way to spend a summer's day? - December 2004 to March 2005

It’s the little things that matter

How about taking a bus? It reduces traffic congestion, you won't need to find a park, you can sit back and enjoy the ride and you'll reduce your environmental footprint.

Call Metroinfo on 366 8855 for bus timetables or visit

Visit or pick up a parking brochure from a service centre to find out about parking in Christchurch during the SummerTimes season. For the Anthony Harper Lawyers New Years Eve Party the Oxford Terrace Parking Building is open until 12.45am. ASB Bank Starry Nights and Rick Armstrong Motors Classical Sparks offer inexpensive onsite parking that can be accessed off Harper Avenue - money raised goes to a local charity.

Care for our city parks

Take a picnic to SummerTimes events but please leave only footprints when you head home. Look out for rubbish and recycling bins. When attending events in Hagley Park, walk around the Hagley Park Golf Course.

Cancellations and Postponements,

In the event of marginal or wet weather, listen to local radio stations for an announcement or call the Christchurch City Council on 941 6840.
