The sensational finale to the city's SummerTimes festival, this is the South Island's biggest outdoor concert! Highlights this year include ... "Aoraki" by Gareth Farr, a soaring tribute to Canterbury'sown Mt Cook; the world premiere of the orchestral version of John Psathas' fireworks theme from the Athens Olympics - with fireworks!, favourites from Gershwin's "Porgy & Bess" and concluding with the traditional war horse Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with fireworks, 16 cannons and the bells of Christchurch Cathedral!
