SummerTimes - What's your perfect way to spend a summer's day? - December 2004 to March 2005

This years SummerTimes festival includes all of your much loved events, with some new surprises...

Grab your kite and your togs and head to New Brighton Beach for The Press Kite Day. How about going camping without leaving the city? The Great Kids Camp-out promises to be a exciting night under the stars for the whole family.

Keeping with tradition, but kicking it up a bit, ASB Bank Starry Nights goes Hollywood with a brand new program, a glorious spectacle saluting movie greats hits from favourite musicals. Be prepared to be blown away by Rick Armstrong Motors 2005 Classical Sparks, for the first time will include “Aoraki” by Gareth Farr, a tribute to our own Mt Cook. Catch an evening at Christchurch’s most sublime theatre venue, the daffodil gardens at Hagley Park for Anthony Harper Lawyers Summer Theatre. Grab the kids and Teddy and head off to the Teddy Bear's Picnic, or chill out at a Pacific Pool Party this summer.

So, get outside, take advantage of all the great free events and have the best SummerTime ever.
