thrilled to be bringing you heaps of exciting activities
for the first week of your holidays. This year there are
more cool things to do, places to visit and people to
meet than ever before!
New events this year include a behind the scenes tour of Canterbury University (complete with lots of cool experiments!) and an opportunity to try Chinese calligraphy or make a sculpture from stone. There's also a hands-on introduction to gardening, a KiwiSports Festival and a chance to find out about the world of opera - and try on the fancy costumes!
Once again Jason Gunn hosts the TV2 KidsFest Opening Extravaganza on the first day of the festival. Last year this great family event sold out in just a few hours so this year there are two sessions. But make sure you book early or you might miss out!
Have a good read of the brochure and decide what you'd like to do. Lots of events are very popular and sell out quickly so we suggest you book early to avoid disappointment. Bookings open on Monday 22 June. Check out details about Ticketek - they're handling the bookings for most events.
Remember to get your paws on a TV2 KidsFest Bus Pass - created especially for the festival by the wonderful folk at CanRide. Thanks to the generosity of Christchurch's bus companies you can travel to and from TV2 KidsFest events for free. Passes will be available from Ticketek offices at the Town Hall and Riccarton Mall and also from the Bus Kiosk in Cathedral Square. If you need to find out which bus to take to any event give the friendly people at BusInfo a call on 366 8855.
