Children’s Day at the Groynes

Keep 2 November Free!

Children’s Day at the Groynes will again be a feature of Neighbourhood Week.

This year’s event will be held on Sunday 2 November, 11am –3pm.

A wide variety of activities are planned for the day including live stage performances, a noddy train, bouncy castle, boating and kite flying.

Children’s Day 2003 will be based on the theme ‘Children’s Health’. A range of activities and information will be available for children and families, promoting active and healthy living.

Children’s Day is organised by Christchurch City Council Leisure with funding support from the Papanui/Shirley Community Board.

If wet, the day will be postponed until Sunday 9 November, 11am-3pm

Sea Cruises Competition

As part of the Neighbourhood Week celebrations, Sea Cruises Ltd has 50 tickets for two up for grabs. Simply write your name, address and telephone number on the back of an envelope and send it to Sea Cruises Competition, Papanui Service Centre, P.O.Box 5142 by October 15 to go in the draw to win a cruise.

The complimentary cruises will sail on Saturday 1 November, 5-7 pm and 7.30 pm -9.30 pm. Sea Cruises is also offering discounted trips during Neighbourhood Week for anyone looking for something a little different to do with their neighbours.
