Belfast Community Pool
7-10 February 2002
A crew of 7 aerosol artists painted a large mural at the Belfast Community Pool.

Kyle Park Under Tunnel

Local Hornby artists and Christchurch artists were led by Michael Slade to paint the Kyle Park underpass.

Halswell Aquatic Centre

The corrugated iron fence at the Halswell Aquatic Centre was painted as a way of stopping continuous graffiti. A group ranging in age from 15 to 22 from all over Christchurch did the production.

Polytech

Polytech

Three 4 week workshops were held as a way of promoting Christchurch Polytechnic to youth. The event was coordinated by Jonny Wartmann.

QE2 Underpass

The QE2 underpass was completed by 25 aerosol artists from the Shirley Burwood community, ranging from 15 to 22 years of age. The aim was to reduce graffiti in the underpass.

The client, and sponsor, Black Rose Tattoo Emporium, wanted to reduce graffiti on their high visibility premises. Artists Bonni Tamati and Jonny Wartmann did the work.
