Push Play Day 7 November

Summer is coming, so take time out to Push Play. Friday, 7 November is national Push Play Day.

Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC) is again encouraging all New Zealanders to incorporate physical activity into their daily routine. Push Play is a reminder that just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity most daysof the week is good for your health. Encouraging people to stay active for health also is a goal of the City Council.

To add a little extra activity to your day, how about going for a lunchtime walk with a friend, visit a local park or try a new activity this Push Play Day? It’s easy, fun and you’ll feel good. Events happening for Push Play Day include spring walks, school activities, medical practice walks and a fun run.
