Latimer Square
Three design plans for enhancing the park have been drawn up, based on community consultation, and will be presented to the Council’s Hagley/Ferrymead Community Board early this month for endorsement to take them out to key stakeholders for further feedback. Meanwhile, the road-stopping procedure for Worcester Street through Latimer Square continues. The Council resolved in December 2002 to commence the road-stopping process, and last month agreed to publicly notify a variation to the City Plan to show this section of Worcester Street as a road to be stopped. Traffic counts around the square have also been done. |
