Have your say on alcohol

The Council’s draft alcohol policy is also still open for public comment, until 14 July. The policy is being developed with the aim of reducing alcohol-related problems in our community and the Council wants to hear what people think about the issues raised in a discussion document available from Christchurch City Libraries, Council service centres and on the web at www.ccc.govt.nz/HaveYourSay

The policy aims to reduce alcohol abuse but also recognises the importance of the city’s hospitality industry. As well, it takes into account the Council’s responsibilities in law. Comments or submissions can be made on the Have Your Say website or by writing to Klaus Prusas, Team Leader Environmental Effects, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 237, Christchurch.
