Dog Control Policy open

Have your say on proposed changes to the Christchurch City Council’s Dog Control Policy. A pamphlet outlining the suggested changes has been posted to all registered dog owners and is available to the general public through Council service centres and Christchurch City Libraries. It can also be read on the web, at www.ccc.govt.nz/HaveYourSay

The proposed changes focus on making regulations easier for dog owners to understand, protecting popular beach areas from fouling, increasing children’s safety and preventing dogs from causing harm to sensitive wildlife areas. The feedback period runs until 18 July. Comments can be made by returning the pamphlet (freepost), writing to the Council’s environmental policy leader or through the Have Your Say website.
