The site’s been set up to make it as easy as possible for people to have their say and get involved in local issues and projects.

Christchurch City Council Consultation Project Leader Philippa Joughin says the site is just one way that people can get involved.

“The website gives people one central point where they can go to find the most up-to-date information possible about what the Council is consulting on and have their say at the same time.

“They can also get project updates, access maps of proposed changes and track the progress of a consultation process,” she says.

“The home page has useful links where people can locate their ward, local Councillor and Community Board members as well as pick up some helpful hints on how to make a submission to Council.

“We are making changes to the Have Your Say website on a regular basis so we are keen to find out what people think of the site. You can do this by clicking on the question — What do you think of this site? — near the top of the screen.”

The website can be accessed free at all City Council Libraries and Service Centres. “People can still call into the City Council offices in Tuam Street or the Libraries and Service Centres and pick up the information they need. They can also phone the Council on 941 8999 and ask to have information and submission forms sent to them about a particular project,” says Ms Joughin.
