Ronan Chastain gets enthusiastic support from onlookers and his Hip Hop Battle teammates as he shows his moves at an event in Cathedral Square on 1 February. A big, enthusiastic crowd turned out for the celebration of Hip Hop culture. In a Hip Hop battle, contestants team up and each gets several chances to show their moves. The Way event also featured a concert with local and national acts and a temporary art mural production. The Way event was sponsored by the City Council and RDU 98.3 FM.
