For people who have access to the internet, details of Christchurch City Council’s street works projects are now available on-line.

At www.ccc.govt.nz/ProjectNotices/, you can now search on a street name and find out about any proposed, planned, current or completed activity taking place on that specific street. This information was launched on-line about five weeks ago, and currently has details on nearly 300 projects based in the Council’s City Streets Unit.

Tony Lange, Information Manager of City Streets, said that the Project Notices were put on-line so that the public could have greater access to information about street projects happening in and around the city. Projects listed are part of City Streets’ capital works programme.

“Regular updates of the site will ensure that the public know what stage each project is currently in – from the proposal and consultation phase, through to completion of works. The internet is also a good way to participate when a project is in the consultation phase”, said Mr Lange.

Visitors to the Project Notices site can get a detailed description of the project (including background, status and timeframes), view maps, and find out who to contact for further information.

To find out more about Project Notices please contact Tony Lange on ph: 941 8649, or email tony.lange@ccc.govt.nz
