Christchurch opening ceremony for FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup

This Monday Christchurch’s opening ceremony for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will kick off at the International Antarctic Centre.
Christchurch’s opening ceremony will be a great chance to get into the spirit of this sensational event, and meet some of the teams and officials.
This is the first time the event has been held, and Christchurch is one of four New Zealand locations hosting the event. One pool round and both semi-finals, will be held at Christchurch’s QEII Park.
Costa Rica, Germany, Ghana, Korea DPR, Paraguay, Japan, Nigeria and Brazil will all play games in Christchurch, along with the semi final teams. The first game to be played in Christchurch will be Costa Rica versus Germany on October 29 at 12:00pm.
The teams from Costa Rica, Germany, Korea DPR, and Ghana will be attending the Christchurch opening ceremony, along with key delegates from FIFA, the Mayor and Councillors, and local football officials.
Media are welcome to attend the ceremony.
