Royalty returns to Riccarton

Princess Anne will present the New Zealand Cup at Riccarton Park Racecourse this Saturday 15 November.
Her Royal Highness will present the Cup to the winning connections of the 145th running of the Christchurch Casino sponsored New Zealand Cup.
The major race for the New Zealand Cup will run in Race 7, between 4.00 and 5.00 pm.
Royalty returns to Riccarton Park Racecourse for the first time since February 1963 with Her Royal Highness visiting Christchurch.
Princess Anne will attend the New Zealand Cup Day following her visit to the A&P Royal NZ Show on Friday 14, part of New Zealand Cup and Show Week.
Princess Anne is in Christchurch primarily for the 23rd Commonwealth Agricultural Conference as she represents her father the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Christchurch Casino New Zealand Cup and First Sovereign Trust NZ 2000 Guineas Day is a premier racing day at Riccarton Park.
The Guineas races are elite events for the best young horses in the country, having launched many a champion, such as Bonecrusher and more recently, Darci Brahma, into stellar careers.
New Zealand Cup and Show Week runs from 7-15 November and is a unique time in Christchurch when racing, fashion, food and entertainment converge to create a festival atmosphere that is high action, high energy and high stakes.
