Have-a-go Arts and Craft Festival
21 January 2008
Pottery raku firing, wood turning, Oamaru stone carving, soap carving, hair braiding and card making are just some of the crafts Christchurch residents can try their hand at during the Avice Hill Arts and Craft Festival.
On Sunday, 10 February, from 11am to 3pm, the Festival is an opportunity for people to experience first hand the pleasure and relaxation that comes from participating in an array of arts and crafts.
The free family event features many arts and craft stalls, a range of food stalls, a jazz band, tai chi demonstrations, dance performances and a children’s entertainer.
The Avice Hill Arts and Craft Festival is a Christchurch City Council initiative organised by the Council’s Recreation and Sports Unit, and supported by the Fendalton/Waimairi Community Board.
