Celebrate summer at an outdoor pool party

Pack the picnic basket and enjoy the balmy days of summer at a Christchurch City Council pool party – affordable entertainment for the whole family.

The fun gets underway next week, with nine parties planned throughout January:

• Waltham Lido Pool – Wednesday 9, 16 and 23 January from 2pm to 4pm.
• Halswell Aquatic Centre – Thursday 10, 17 and 24 January from 2pm to 4pm.
• Lyttelton Norman Kirk Pool – Friday 11, 18 and 25 January from Noon to 2pm.

Partygoers can try snorkelling, enjoy a raft of other water games and battle the giant pool inflatables. 

For those who prefer to stay on land, they can test their pulling power on the horizontal bungy, demonstrate their creative talent on the pavement or take part in volleyball and soccer workshops. 

With a DJ, free sausage sizzle and loads of giveaways, there is plenty of entertainment and fun for the whole family.
