Dance the night away

Showcasing all the hottest dance styles in Christchurch, Dancing Under the Stars is a chance to learn some moves from the professionals while enjoying a night’s entertainment.

The free family event on Friday, 29 February, at Crosbie Park, from 6pm to 9pm, will showcase such styles as swing, hip hop, ballroom, Latin, new vogue and jump jam.

There will be demonstrations by a number of different groups, the chance to groove along to the sounds of the FAB 3 and to learn new some new steps from the professionals.

Bring a picnic or tempt your tastebuds with the array of fare at the food stalls.

Dancing Under the Stars is a Christchurch City Council initiative organised by the Council’s Recreation and Sports Unit and supported by the Fendalton/Waimairi Community Board.
