General Manager Capital Programme to leave Council
29 November 2007
Christchurch City Council’s General Manager Capital Programme, Kevin Mara, has resigned and leaves in the New Year to take up a position at Housing New Zealand as General Manager Asset Programme.
Kevin has worked at Council for the past 10 years directing a number of the city’s major infrastructure projects. He was manager of the Council’s former in-house consultancy City Solutions before taking up his current position as a General Manager 15 months ago.
Council Chief Executive Tony Marryatt says Kevin is leaving to further his career and he wished him well in his new position.
Kevin Mara says he is leaving Council at a time when the organisation is in great heart. “This is a career move for me. I am sorry to be leaving Christchurch at a time when the city is experiencing such growth and the Council is playing such a major role in that growth,
“Council is a superb place to work and I am confident that under the current leadership, it will continue to go from strength to strength,” he says.
