Only two weeks to go until Heathcote River Day

On Saturday 1 December the annual Heathcote River Day Raft Race will take place. It’s time to start gathering a team and building a raft.
The journey down the Heathcote River – with homemade rafts, crafts, canoes and all sorts of watercraft starts at 1pm at Ensors Road bridge.
This year’s event categories include family and senior, with spot prizes for fair play, best decorated craft, best designed craft, best dressed participant(s), most vocal raft plus additional prizes.
Registrations will be taken on the day from 11.30am onwards outside Waltham Lido Pool, Fifield Terrace. Get your boat checked and then float downstream to the start point.
Race Information Packs are available from the Beckenham Service Centre/South Christchurch Library, 66 Colombo St. Registration is FREE for all participants!!
