Recycling of Telephone Books

Real Recycling began kerbside collection of outdated 2005-2006 telephone directories in Christchurch (including Banks Peninsula), Waimakariri and Selwyn districts as of Monday 14 August, in line with delivery of new directories. Collection will continue until Friday 1 September 2006.

A maximum of four books per household can be put out for kerbside collection. Books should be placed inside supermarket bags, bag handles tied and books put on top of recycling crates.

Larger volumes of up to 50 books can be taken free of charge to recycling centres located at Parkhouse Rd, Styx Mill Rd or Metro Place EcoDepots (Christchurch), Banks Peninsula recycling centres, and Southbrook or Oxford Transfer Stations (Waimakariri district).

For commercial volumes of more than 50 books please contact Coleridge Paper Company on (03) 384 2273 to discuss collection options.

Real Recycling is a partnership between the Christchurch City Council, Waimakariri District Council, TerraNova and Onyx and was founded to facilitate and encourage kerbside recycling.
