Science in the City Lecture Series continues
25 November 2005
The November Science in the City lecture will be held at Our City O-Tautahi next Wednesday, 30 November.
Environment Canterbury’s Dr David Scott, will lecture on Christchurch’s groundwater system and the science involved in monitoring and understanding our water.
Dr Scott’s presentation will also describe the developing multi-disciplinary nature of the science of groundwater hydrology with particular application to Christchurch.
Water is an essential resource and obviously one that cannot be taken for granted, especially with a dry summer looming, increased water extraction and the necessity to protect the city’s aquifers.
Our City O-Tautahi is located in the original Municipal Chambers on the corner of Oxford Terrace and Worcester Boulevard (opposite Rydges Hotel).
