Christchurch’s summer pools open on 12 November

Enjoy the balmy days of summer and relax poolside at one of Christchurch City Council’s four Summer Pools. From opening day -- Saturday,12 November -- the Sockburn, Waltham and Halswell Pools will open daily from 11am and Jellie Park opens from 6am.
During opening weekend (12-13 November), patrons at Halswell, Sockburn and Waltham pools will get a free Tip Top ice cream along with their pool entry (available until stocks are exhausted).
The Summer Pools offer affordable fun for the whole family, with full-day entry prices starting at $1.50 for under-15s. The facilites include heated outdoor pools, toddler’s pool, dive boards (at Jellie and Sockburn), and water slides to add to the fun.
Go along for the day or afternoon, roll out the picnic blanket in the park-like surrounds. Refreshments are available at the kiosk and each pool has a dedicated barbeque area.
Later in the season the Suburban Pools open; Edgeware Pool on 3 December, Belfast Pool on 10 December, and Templeton Pool on 7 January. These pools will be open daily from midday to 5.30pm.
