Our City displays support Flowers and Romance Festival

17 February 2005

More Blooming Quilts and The Garden Plot, on until 20 February 2005

The Combined Patchwork Society of Canterbury and the Canterbury Botanic Art Society play tribute to the floral motif with exhibitions at Our City O-Tautahi.

The Christchurch City Council facility on the banks of the Avon River at the corner of Worcester Boulevard and Oxford Terrace is hosting a stunning display of quilts and botanic inspired paintings. The displays are proving popular too, beating all previous attendance records.

Brian Keeley, the Christchurch Garden City Trust chairman, says, “Our City has been a perfect venue, ideally located and easily recognisable”.

  • Our City O-Tautahi is open 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday.  Admission is free.
  • To find out more about the exhibition or about Our City O-Tautahi, email  ourcity@ccc.govt.nz or call 941 7460.
