Hone your Fish Brains at Boards ‘n’ Blades
25 March 2004
Christchurch City Council is encouraging youth to get their butts off the couch, adorn themselves with ‘armour’, and get their wheels to the ‘crete for some serious Noseslides and Spins. Some of Christchurch’s top skaties and bladers, along with the team at Cheapskates, are running a series of workshops for local youth.
Workshops will be held from 10am to 1pm on the 13th, 15th, 20th and 22nd of April at Bishopdale Skate Park and Jellie Park. The cost is just $10 for two workshops and includes transportation and instruction.
So, instead of being glued to the TV watching the action on X-Games, be part of the action by learning from local gurus.
This is a great opportunity to be active in the biggest youth craze since the hoola hoop.
Get in quick, places are limited and registrations are essential! Contact Tracey at Bishopdale Community Centre on 359 8330. Boards ‘n’ Blades is organised by the Christchurch City Council and supported by the Fendalton/Waimari Community Board.
