Story time in Maori on Monday 6 September at Christchurch’s Central Library
31 August 2004
Preschool children are invited to come along to Central Library on Monday (6 September) morning to listen to stories and songs presented in Maori by Te Hata Ohlson. Mr Ohlson will be well known to many younger television viewers as Ollie Ohlson, a presenter on the After School programme.
This fun session for preschoolers is part of a series celebrating the diversity of Christchurch that has included Japanese and Korean stories.
“Te Hata is a brilliant children’s storyteller and we’re excited to have him presenting a story time in Te Reo Maori,” says Ben Day, the Library Marketing Team Leader. “It’s an important part of our commitment to and continued support for Te Reo Maori.”
Story time is a regular fixture at Christchurch City Libraries, with sessions held every week throughout the library network.
