Seminar teaches skills to plan, run successful community events
3 November 2003
Christchurch City Council is running two seminars later this month about
how to run a community event. Anyone interested should register with the
Council by Monday, 10 November.
Interested people from local groups who want to find out the what,
why and how of successful community event planning and management
are invited to attend. The seminars’ target are people from groups such as residents
associations, churches, schools, sports clubs, youth groups, craft groups,
fundraising groups or any organisation that may be involved in events.
Both seminars are on Thursday, 20 November. The first runs from
midday to 1.30pm, at the Council’s Papanui Service Centre on the corner
of Langdons Road and Restell Street. The second seminar is at the Service
Centre in the South Christchurch Library, on the corner of Colombo Street
and Hunter Terrace, from 5.30-7pm.
The content of both seminars will be identical. They are being
offered at different times to ensure most people who want to
take part can do so. The cost is $5 and each participant will get a
comprehensive event-planning
manual.
- Please register for either of these educational seminars
by Monday 10 November. Call Maria Leuluai on 941 6310 or email
