Pre-school storyteller, Wednesday 12 March 10.15-10.45am
Liz Weir, Canadian storyteller - don’t miss her.
Ocean Outfall - Thursday 13 March 6.30-7.30pm
John Moore, Christchurch City Council senior planning engineer,
will
talk about this engineering project. (bookings essential)
Guided dune walk - Saturday 15 March 10.30am-11.30am
Starts with an introduction at 10.30am in the Library and
continues out on the dunes with a coastal ranger. (bookings essential)
Beach art - Sunday 16 March 10.30am-12 noon
Prizes for beach art and sand sculptures/castles. Fun game for
kids to play (The matching game) with Abi Wightman, Environmental
Education Teacher. (weather permitting - bring a shovel)
Two Great Sea Week competitions for kids at New Brighton Library
For younger children....What is the Name of our Dolphin?
For older children -- Name that Fishy Film!! Go in the draw for
prizes of free double movie passes and chocolate fish.
Parents please note; Children need to be supervised by parents/caregivers
at all times during events.
