Community planting day at South Brighton Domain
7 August 2003
Local residents are invited to a community planting day at South Brighton
Domain on Sunday 17 August 2003, 1pm to 3pm (wet or fine). Approximately
300 trees will be planted out, which should take around an hour.
Park ranger staff will be there on the day to coordinate the activities
including children’s face painting and a free barbecue to finish.
The assembly point is behind the log cabin at South Brighton Motor Camp.
People are asked to bring a spade, and their family and friends for a fun
day out.
Burwood Pegasus Area Advocate Robyn Croucher says that the event is a celebration.“
Many people were so happy with the landscape plan which includes
a greater variety of trees than was there before, particularly those that
are bird friendly. It’s fantastic to have this opportunity to work
with the local community and see them get involved in the replanting.”
