Fiddlesticks and Double Trouble Perform in Cathedral Square
Free Friday Lunchtime Concert, May 24th, 12.15pm to 1.15pm Cathedral Square
Fiddlesticks and Double Trouble, originally a family from Christchurch, began their venture 3 years ago when Fiddlesticks (Karen and Jacko Jackson) sought new audiences in the North Island. Their children George and Mackenzie soon joined them, and the new focus of a four piece band began.
The foursome play ten instruments including violin, guitar, bass, Bodhran, Tambales and Djembe, and they specialize in Celtic rock.
Playing festivals all over New Zealand, including the Wild Food Festival on the West Coast, they have been described as an amazing and entertaining group!.
Karen and Jacko provide vocals, and the numbers move through Texas swing, to Kiwiana, and into full rock n roll.
Fiddlesticks and Double Trouble perform a Free Friday Lunchtime Concert in Cathedral Square this Friday, presented by Christchurch City Council Leisure.
