Extra SummerTimes® Summer Theatre Performance Planned for Waitangi Day

SummerTimes® SUMMER THEATRE 'The Complete History of New Zealand - Abridged' February 6, 2pm AND 7.30pm, Daffodil Lawns, Botanic Gardens

Due to popular demand, The Court Jesters will be presenting an extra performance of ‘The Complete History of New Zealand – Abridged’ at 2.PM on Wednesday February 6th – Waitangi Day, in addition to the standard 7.30pm performance.

The hugely popular show has been routinely receiving audiences of 1,000 people or more this season, and the fast paced comedy romp through history has left the crowd laughing, applauding, and at times chanting happily along.

“It’s great to see people getting into the spirit of the piece.’ says The Court Jesters Manager Richard Cosgrove, “ that spirit being extremely tongue in cheek of course!”

Summer Theatre is a popular component of the SummerTimes® festival, a festival which will be twenty years old next year.

The Daffodil Lawns in the Botanic Gardens create a natural performance area, and audiences are given the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful garden surroundings, adjacent to the Avon River.
