Approximately 700 submissions received on Lichfield / Tuam swap proposal Preliminary analysis of submission forms indicate that Christchurch City Council received approximately 700 written submissions regarding its proposal to swap the functions of Lichfield and Tuam streets. The submissions have been received by post and by email, during an eleven week public consultation period which closed last Friday 16 August. Respondents were asked to indicate on the submission form whether they agree or disagree with the proposal. Preliminary results indicate that:
All feedback provided in the written submissions is now being analysed by a market research consultant (including a review of the preliminary figures above). A final report on the consultation feedback is due in September. The report will be presented to the Sustainable Transport and Utilities (ST&U) Committee, and full Council, later this year. All submitters were given the opportunity to present their submissions orally to the Sustainable Transport and Utilities (ST&U) Committee. Approximately 140 organisations or people indicated that they wished to present their submission to the ST&U Committee, and 43 have now confirmed that they wish to present their submission this week.
