First Council Meeting November 8

The inaugural meeting of the new Christchurch City Council will be held on Thursday 8 November.

The meeting will start at 2pm.

At this meeting the Mayor and Councillors are sworn in before committees are determined and chairpersons of committees are appointed.

Other housekeeping matters of the Council are undertaken but no committee reports are normally received for consideration.
