Civic Awards For 33 Residents
They range from an couple in their eighties, who have taken decades copying historical records, to a man who has fought for Estuary improvements.
They are included among 32 Christchurch residents and one company which will receive Civic Awards from the Mayor, Garry Moore, at 6pm on Tuesday 6 November.
The function will be held in the Civic Offices, Tuam Street. The annual awards are made to people or organisations which have served the city in a voluntary capacity for a number of years. This year’s awards cover a wide field of endeavour and service.
