Canterbury Showcase Series Promises Entertainment in Victoria Square
November 7th, 9th and 14th , Victoria Square, 12.30pm to 2.00pm. FREE
A selection of some of the Citys best performers will entertain the lunchtime crowd in Victoria Square as part of Showtime Canterbury.
Beginning on Wednesday November 7th, the performances are eclectic and guaranteed to appeal to a wide range of audiences.
Vahid open the series. They call their music progressive rock and regard their style as catchy and melodic.
Theyre joined by Human Circus, a rock band who have competed successfully in the Pepsi Smokefree Rockquest regional finals, and ultimately gained 2nd place.
Fridays concert features Volare, a local well loved trio of accomplished jazz singers who present find renditions of classic and contemporary numbers.
Wednesday 14th sees Janny and The Boys bring their jazzy blend of good time music to the inner city. With a history of 23 years together, they handle jazz standards and favourites with style and aplomb.
