Mayor To Open Israeli’s Art Show
Christchurch Mayor Garry Moore will open an art exhibition on Thursday 29 March at the Dobson Bashford Gallery at 5pm.
The exhibition is by Moshe Liba, a retired Israeli diplomat and now a painter, sculptor and poet. He is the husband of the Dutch Ambassador to New Zealand, An de Bijll Nachenius, and will attend the exhibition’s opening.
Dr Liba was ambassador and consul general in 15 countries in his 30-year diplomatic career and has published 23 books of poetry. His paintings, sculptures and other arts works are in museums, art galleries and private collections around the world.
He has taken part in more than 170 collective exhibitions, including some in New Zealand. His Christchurch show will run until 14 April.
