Chick Magnets in Action
A new retro rock & roll band named The Chick Magnets will perform a variety of music from the Byrds, Small Faces, Creedance Clearwater Revival, and much more, in Cathedral Square on Friday 23 March.
The Chick Magnets consists of Paul Keen (ex the Bats) on bass and vocals, Oliver Scott (ex Belle Motion) on rhythm guitar and vocals, John Kelcher (ex Sneaky Feelings) on lead guitar and vocals, and Darryl Kirk (ex Squirm) on drums. Paul Keen says the band members are four guys who lead very busy lives, and the band is a 'just for fun' side project for them all. The band name The Chick Magnets is a reflection of the status given to bands by female groupies during the sixties.
Get along to Cathedral Square this Friday lunchtime to hear some of your favourite songs of the sixties.
