Pick-up Dialtone in Cathedral Square

Free Lunchtime Concert
Friday 8 June, 12.30pm to 1.30pm
Cathedral Square

The Dialtones are to perform a range of original music in Cathedral Square for the first time this Friday, from soulful slow songs through to upbeat pop-rock songs.

Established in 1996, the Dialtones currently consists of Fleur de Lis (ex the Suspenders) on guitar and vocals, Dean Aldridge (ex Creeley) on bass, Rob McLean (ex Disgraceland and Bella Figura) on guitar, and Vaughn Watson (ex Squirm) on drums. The band have been in the recording studio in recent times working on an original music debut CD, which they are hoping to release in the near future.

The Dialtones style of music is already becoming well known throughout New Zealand, with the band recently being described as a cross between the 'Pixies' and 'Sonic Youth'. Their popularity has grown with the inclusion of one of their compositions "Shadows" on the Kiwi Hit Disc #7, along with one of the band's songs "Solstice" being released on the Christchurch bands compilation CD "Brat -vol.1".

Don't miss out on hearing the Dialtones in Cathedral Square this Friday.
