Nominations Sought For Service Awards
Nominations for Hagley/Ferrymead Community Board’s Community Service Awards are being sought.
These awards acknowledge service of a voluntary nature given by a resident or a group in the Hagley/Ferrymead Community Board area.
The Board wants to know of any person or group that should be recognised for outstanding voluntary service in the community. Such people have frequently given their time unstintingly for others and for the community over a period of many years, without any thought of reward or recognition for themselves. These Community Awards offer the opportunity for the good deeds of such people to be publicly recognised. Nomination forms and any further information may be obtained from the Council’s Linwood Service Centre PO Box 24-214 or by telephoning 3891-477. Nominations will close on Monday 23 July.
The successful nominations will be announced at a ceremony to be held later in the year. Successful nominees will be presented with a framed certificate on behalf of the community to mark the appreciation of the rest of the community for the good works carried out.
