Jobs Announcement By Minister Of Employment

The Minister of Employment, Steve Maharey, will make an announcement concerning jobs in the Canterbury region at the Christchurch City Council offices, Tuam Street on Wednesday 18 July.

He will be joined by Christchurch’s Mayor, Garry Moore, who initiated the Mayors Taskforce For Jobs, and others involved in the employment scene.

Mr. Maharey has played a key role in the implementation of the Youth Strategy and his announcement will have a big impact on this scheme.

The media conference will be held at 2.30pm in the Mayor’s Office, first floor, Civic Offices, Tuam Street.
