‘Minus Title’s’ unique blend of pop-punk, will rock Christchurch for one day only, during their brief South Island tour, before the band heads across the ditch to Australia.
‘Minus Title’ was formed in Gisborne by Jolan Kilkelly on guitar and vocals, Thomas Boyce on bass, and Karl Stevenson on drums. From humble beginnings, meeting twice weekly in the local Union Hall to practise for three years, ‘Minus Title’ has gone from strength to strength. Jolan Kilkelly says ‘Gisborne is such a small place, that there was little for us to do there but surf and play music.’ To gain more experience the whole band moved to Christchurch to live for a year, during which time they were placed second in ‘The Battle of the Bands’, and had a song included on the Brat Records Christchurch compilation CD. In Christchurch, ‘Minus Title’ also met Dick Straight who has become their second guitarist, and Dick accompanied the band on their next move to live in Auckland. Now ‘Minus Title’ are ready to try their luck in Australia, so don’t miss what could be your last opportunity to see them perform in Christchurch.
