Students To Tell Of China Life

Four Christchurch high-school students will outline their experiences in China at a public function next week.

The four – Hayley Anderson (Christchurch Girls’), Kelly Begg (Burnside), Daniel Kennett (Lincoln) and Nicholas Dalton (Shirley Boys’) – have just returned from a month in China as part of a student-exchange programme.

They are all students of Chinese and were accompanied on their visit by Terana Yee, a teacher at Burnside.

In China they stayed in students’ homes in Lanzhou, as part of the exchange programme organised by the Christchurch-Gansu Friendly Relations Committee.

The four will speak and answer questions on their experiences on Wednesday 17 May at 7.30pm at Christchurch Girls’ High School’s function room, Matai Street.

Chinese students visited Christchurch in March under the same programme.
