Sam Manzanza – “The Rhythm Man” – Returns!

FREE, Friday 8 September, 12.30 to 1.30pm
Christchurch Cathedral Square

Originally from Zaire, Sam Manzanza and the Rhythm African Band will liven up Cathedral Square this Friday 8thth.

Specializing in the rhythmic tones of African dance music, Sam has toured widely throughout New Zealand, playing at outdoor festivals, corporate events, and nightclubs.

His powerful rhythms blend traditional and modern beats, and he composes many of the songs performed – sung in French, English and Lingala.

A dancer with the Zaire National Ballet, Sam is a multi talented personality who brings love, sharing and truth to his audiences – through music. When audiences break into spontaneous dance, it is a rich reward for him.

“Their souls are dancing, I am dancing, I know they feel good, and that is what I want people to get from my music” says Manzanza.
