Riccarton Service Centre To Move

The Riccarton Service Centre in Rotherham Street will close its doors for the last time on Thursday 6 April. It will reopen at 9am on Monday 10 April in its new premises at the Riccarton Post Shop.

The move, prompted by a downturn in transactions, means that local residents can still access council information and services locally. Council services delivered from the NZ Post site in Riccarton Road will include:

• Payment for items such as rates, dog registrations and rubbish bags
• Information about the council
• Requests for service from the council
• Community hall bookings
• Photocopying
• Receipt of payment for Press classified advertisements

"We are delighted to have reached a solution that continues to offer Riccarton residents maximum convenience," said Council Service Delivery Manager Nicki Moen. "Access to council services remains on their doorstep, with the quality of service delivery being maintained."
