Park and Track
Closures due to Last Week's Storm
The public is requested to
keep out of the following parks and tracks, which have been affected because of last
week's storm. All of the closed areas are signed and taped off.
- The Sumner to Taylors Mistake
Walkway is closed for repairs, with tree damage, rock fall, erosion and instability
hazards. The partial closure is from adjacent to the end of Scarborough Rd down to Taylors
Mistake carpark.
- South Brighton Park remains
closed because of fallen and hanging trees, and tree felling operational hazards. Heavy
machinery is being used in the Park.
- The rabbit poisoning operation
at the Southshore Spit has been extended for another week because of weather delays. The
Spit Reserve should be open again from Friday the 27th of October.
