Graham Wardrop to visit New Brighton Library
One of New Zealand's finest solo guitarists, Graham Wardrop, will be at the New Brighton Library on Thursday 16 November.
Having recently returned from Papua New Guinea, Graham will talk about his trip at two separate sessions: 10 - 11am and 7 - 8pm. A video and photographic presentation, as well as Graham on his guitar, will accompany each session.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to introduce Graham at the New Brighton Library," said Roz Jenkins, Customer Services Librarian. "Graham is one of New Brightons treasures and is a frequent library user. Although he is very busy, he accepted our invitation to appear at the library without hesitation."
Graham's music appeals to most age groups and includes many styles ranging from blues and jazz to folk and rock. He is also well known for his beautifully handcrafted instruments, many inlaid with mother-of-pearl or paua shell.
Both sessions are free of charge and will be held in the Play and Display (PAD) area of New Brighton Library. Bookings are essential - please contact the library on 388 2249 or book at the New Brighton Library information desk.
