Schools To Get Rewards

Certificates to reward good work in the Schools Environment Enhancement Programme were to be presented at a function in Christchurch today.

This is the seventh year the SEEP programme has been run by the Keep Christchurch Beautiful campaign and it keeps growing.

Another three schools - Glenelg Health Camp, McKenzie Residential, and Ouruhia - joined this year.

Nearly 70 certificates will be awarded. Nearly 30 will go to caretakers, and more than 20 highly commended and 11 commended certificates to schools. Another nine will go to schools for community pride.

KCB chairwoman Cr. Carole Evans will present a special five-year award to Redwood School.

Thirty-four primary and intermediate schools are involved.
