Local band Bunyip feature at SummerTimes lunchtime concert
SummerTimes favourites, Bunyip are back this year with an appearance at this weeks Friday Lunchtime Concert in Cathedral Square.
Hailing from Christchurch, Bunyips blend of reggae, ska and dub has been entertaining crowds throughout the country for the past two and a half years. The three-piece band featured at last years Melt concert and appeared at The Gathering over the New Year.
Bunyip has supported the likes of Che Fu, King Kapisi, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, and toured New Zealand with Salmonella Dub. Over the next few weeks the band will be appearing with Salmonella Dub at a number of University Orientation gigs around the country.
The SummerTimes Lunchtime Concert Series continues every Friday until 10 March. Each concert runs from midday to 1.30pm in Cathedral Square.
